Trend HouseCall is a free, on-line virus-checker that runs inside your Web browser to scan and remove viruses from your computer.
When you visit the PC-cillin scanning page, an ActiveX component installs or a Java applet loads which displays all the drives on your computer. To activate scanning, simply click on the drives, directories or files you`d like to check for viruses, then click the scan button. PC-cillin HouseCall will list the name of any virus found, and the name of the infected file, and provide options for removing the virus or deleting the file.
Housecall can can detect `in the wild` and `zoo` viruses as well as known and unknown macro viruses. |
