Re: News allows you to easily search and find specific information in Usenet newsgroups. Searching is done over a massive, Web-based newsgroup archive. Articles are searched using simple keywords, or more advanced Boolean expressions, wildcards, phrases, near words, or newsgroup matching and exclusion. You can select multiple articles for simultaneous downloading, and downloaded articles are stored in one integrated edit window that makes it easy to browse, print, and save articles as one entity. A Re: News search looks for the given keywords in both the subject heading and the body of an article. Moreover, each search is done over all articles in more than 50,000 newsgroups dating back to 1995. In addition, you can specify the language in which you want your articles to be written in (there are 18), or simply select to search articles in any language. |
