| An inventory program for the model railroader. You can record up to 16 fields on each model (model information, prototype information and notes). Although designed primarily to catalog model railroad rolling stock, you can also record information on the buildings, vehicles and other non-railroad models that are on your layout. Then view or print lists based on the model railroad, model category, scale, or model manufacturer. Keep track of the value of your model railroad, print insurance reports by category and print insurance summary reports for the value of the entire model railroad collection. The program includes customizable pick lists for entering the railroad name information, equipment category and model scales; context sensitive on-line help, an easy to use install/uninstall procedure and sample files for the first time user. Railfan Express comes in both 16 bit (Windows 3.1) and 32 bit (Windows 95 or newer) versions. Other program features: export data in dbase compatible format, attach a scanned photo or image to each record, print individual record information, QBE (query by example) feature for refined filtered searches of multiple fields, support for operating sessions (car cards, waybills and trainlists)and the ability to change the main menu background photo. Additional features in the registered version are: a built-in backup/restore function, a report wizard (create custom reports), an option to personalize the printed reports and the ability to print QBE reports. The 16 bit is available from the Scotware site. |
