This library simply and easily allows the programmer to perform the tasks that take time and are awkward with standard jsp or html pages. For example the library performs the following tasks without any extra programming
Handles posted forms without having to write any handlers
Filling in input fields with default values from the data source
Simple input and formatting of Dates
Accepts uploaded files along with normal input fields
Allows simple creation of tooltip help
Formats and prints error messages on form submission
Automatically redirects the page onto the next page when a form is successfully submitted
Allows the creation of mandatory fields (fields that have to be filled in before the form is accepted)
In addition with very simple java programming techniques the page can be enhanced to perform all sorts of data validation techniques. This programming takes place in the data bean and not in the jsp page, the jsp page should always be kept as simple as possible. |
