Inventarisierung der Hard- und Software
Nach dieser Inventarisierung wissen Sie z.B.
welche IT-Systeme in Ihrem Unternehmen vorhanden sind
wie die Hardware tatsächlich ausgestattet ist: Sie erhalten detaillierte
Informationen über die Festplattenkapazität, Anzahl und Leistung
der Prozessoren oder die Bildschirmeinstellungen
welche Software auf welchem System installiert ist
Inventarisierung
Programme
Sie erfahren, welche Software in welcher Version auf welchen Hardwaresystemen
installiert ist. Sie können anzeigen lassen, wie oft ein bestimmtes Programm
auf einem bestimmten Betriebssystem installiert ist (Beispiel: Microsoft Word
ist 10 mal installiert, davon 5 mal auf Windows 2000 und 5 mal auf Windows 98).
Sie können auch sehen, auf wie viel unterschiedlichen Rechnern ein bestimmtes
Programm installiert ist.
Betriebssysteme
Sie können sich anzeigen lassen, wie oft ein bestimmtes Betriebssystem
installiert ist und auch die Anzahl der unterschiedlichen Rechner, auf denen
ein bestimmtes Betriebssystem installiert ist.
Sie sehen, von welchen Programmen das jeweilige Betriebssystem genutzt wird
(z.B. interessant bei Migrationen: welche Programme sind von einer Ablösung
von Windows 98 betroffen?)
Konfigurationen
Rechner mit identischer Software werden zu einer Konfiguration zusammengefasst.
Dieser Konfiguration können Sie einen frei gewählten Namen geben (z.B.
„Buchhaltung").
Sie können sich anzeigen lassen, welche Programme eine Konfiguration bilden.
Auf welchen Rechnern sind die Produkte der Konfiguration installiert?
Welche Betriebssysteme werden von den Produkten der Konfiguration genutzt?
Lizenzen
Verwaltung der Softwarelizenzen. Es wird festgestellt, ob alle Softwareprodukte
ausreichend lizensiert sind und welche Produkte zusätzlich zu den lizensierten
Applikationen noch eingesetzt werden.
Diagnose
Überprüfung der Konfigurationen auf mögliche Fehlerquellen,
wie z.B. doppelte Dateien mit verschiedenen Inhalten.
Inventardaten
Aktualisierung der Inventardaten: nach jedem Start (Login) des IT-Systems wird
durch den erweiterten zentralen Überwachungsmonitor jede Software- und
Hardwareveränderung ermittelt und in der Datenbank festgehalten.
Sie können Inventardaten der Hardware wie Inventarnummer, Hersteller oder
Kaufdatum erfassen.
Überwachung
Durch den zentralen Überwachungsmonitor wird geprüft, ob und welche
Veränderungen an den Konfigurationen vorgenommen wurden und durch wen diese
Veränderungen vorgenommen wurden.
Diese Änderungen können sowohl für einen beliebigen gespeicherten
Zeitpunkt (z.B. den Vortag) als auch als Vergleich der Änderungen für
einen beliebigen gespeicherten Zeitraum (z.B. Monatsansicht) angezeigt und ausgedruckt
werden.
Vorabcheck
Systemanforderungen von neuen oder geänderten Softwareprodukten können
gegen die gespeicherten Hardwaredaten in der rimacon-Informationsdatenbank geprüft
werden. Dadurch werden alle Unverträglichkeiten zwischen Softwareprodukten
und Hardwareprodukten angezeigt.
