Abylon protection manager (apm) ist die oberste Instanz der apm - Familie und organisiert diese. Der aktuelle Funktionsumfang von apm legt seinen Augenmerk auf das sichere Archivieren von Dateien und deren Datenaustausch über unsichere Kanäle (z. B. Internet). apm arbeitet dabei auf der Basis von X.509 - Internetzertifikaten nach dem PKCS - Standard (RSA). apm greift dabei auf die Windows-Zertifikatsdatenbank zurück und ist in der Lage eigene Zertifikate zu erstellen.
Im aktuellen Funktionsumfang der Version 3.00 LE sind apm - SME EMail (Mailoberfläche), apm - Manager (Zentrale, Schnellzugriff),¿apm - Tresor (Passworttresor und -generator), apm - Schredder (sicheres löschen nach der DoD II - Methode), apm - Systemsicherheit (Internetspurenvernichter für MS Internetexplorer), apm - Crypt Plugin (MS Dateiexplorerplugin zum ver- und entschlüsseln + Digitale Envelope Dateien), apm - Zertifikatsmanager (Zertifikatshandling und -generierung) und apm - ZipManager (Komprimierungstool mit Verschlüsselungsfunktion) enthalten. |
