Spider Writer is a well-designed and full-featured HTML editor.

Spider Writer has a clean, well thought-out interface with a project-oriented design. An integrated Web browser displays your document as you build it. Entering tags is made simple by the use of the many dialog boxes, builders, and wizards found throughout the system. The tag dialog system lets you create and edit all HTML tags and has a WYSIWYG preview for many tags before you enter them.

There are wizards for designing documents, channels, frames and tables and for creating Javascripts. Builders aid in the design of lists, forms, and text color fades. An integrated file browser makes it easy to insert images with drag and drop, perform file operations, view image thumbnails, display tags or view a Javascript object model.

Other features include: syntax coloring, the ability to organize files into projects, the ability to estimate document download times, customizable menus, a spell-checker, a syntax checker, link verification, HTML tag help files, an image map editor, a button wizard, a calendar wizard, the ability to view the layout of your site, a style sheet editor, an Internet ratings wizard, a meta tag wizard, a phot album wizard, customizable keyboard shortcuts, and a built-in FTP client.
